Cross-Stitch Sampler Pattern AMERICAN FLAQ QUILT SMAPLER, revised, by Karen Kluba from Rosewood Manor, S-1112
THIS IS THE NEW REVISED EDITION! It has 22 pages and is much easier to read! Plus, it has a smaller "star" pattern that can be made into a pin drum!
The design shows the state quilt blocks arranged in the order the states were admitted to the union of the United States. The first thirteen states are shown in the blue section of the flag, plus one star block, used a filler.
DESIGN SIZE: 340 X 260 stitches
SUGGESTED FABRIC: 28ct Mocha, BUT ANY DARKER COLOR FABRIC WILL WORK.
(Fabric needs to be dark enough so that the light floss colors show when completed).
*It is not indicated in the booklet, however, it is visible in the picture, that only the insert with the original 13 states is on a dark color. The rest is stitched on the ivory/Antique White color linen, which is most likely of the same count, 28. (This is my comment, - Irina, SoKe LLC)
FLOSS: DMC
Karen's style is refined, which you can witness in fine flowers and design elements. It creates gentle, lacey effect and elevates the whole piece to a higher level of needlework. A perfectly vintage look is achieved by hand-dyed linen and threads.
The piece uses mostly full cross stitches, backstitches, and Algerian Eyelets, which are featured and explained in schematics in the booklet. The English Alphabet and all numbers are also provided in schemes to personalize your sampler.
Happy Stitching!
